Can-Am must be a household name among thrill-seekers who enjoy riding capable side-by-sides and ATVs through mud, hills, or trails. The Canadian subsidiary of Bombardier Recreational Product (BRP) is known for offering some of the most capable off-road vehicles on the market, but the company also makes a unique lineup of three-wheeled motorcycles, and it just added a new model to its lineup. Called the Can-Am Canyon, the newcomer is billed as the most off-road capable three-wheeler BRP has ever built.
Adventure touring has emerged as one of the biggest trends in the world of motorcycling, and ADV bikes have become a kind of all-purpose machine that can be used for on-road riding, off-road riding, long-distance touring, and even racing. Inspired by this growing segment, Can-Am has created the innovative Canyon, a three-wheeled off-roader that can meet a variety of riding needs.
Offering a unique blend of on-road comfort and off-road capability, this new machine combines the robustness of a Four-wheeled quad or side-by-side with the stability of a three-wheeler. Similar in size and shape to the brand’s existing three-wheelers, the Spyder and Ryker, the Canyon embraces the tadpole trike configuration but boasts a more boxy design with straight lines and boxy shapes. It’s also taller, features more fairing than its predecessors, and has an overall more rugged look that exudes a sense of adventure that invites you to embark on exciting road trips.
“The all-new 2025 Can-Am Canyon is designed for adventurous spirits and tailored for those seeking the road less traveled,” said Elsa Vilarinho, Director of Global Brand Strategy, Can-Am On-Road, Ski-Doo and Lynx. “With adventure touring growing in popularity year after year, Can-Am is pleased to offer a product that increases the overall accessibility of this riding segment.”

What riders look for in an adventure machine is good ground clearance and suspension travel for excellent off-road capability and comfort and storage from a touring perspective. Surprisingly, the 2025 Can-Am Canyon ticks both boxes.
With 6.3 inches of ground clearance, 10.2 inches of front suspension travel, 9.2 inches of rear travel, all-road wheels, and non-slip enduro footpegs, the Canyon is ideal for longer trips on varied terrain. The manufacturer also added a handlebar riser to the design to make the three-wheeler easier to control while standing on the footpegs, as well as a drive belt guard.
The beating heart of the Canyon three-wheeler is a Rotax ACE 1,330cc water-cooled Inline-Triple engine that produces 115 hp at 7,250 rpm and 96 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shifter and reverse for easier parking. Stopping power is provided by Brembo brakes and the off-roader also has abdominal musclesso cyclists can brake fully without fear of stalling.

Can-Am offers the new Canyon in three trim packages, the Standard, XT and Redrock models. While the Standard and XT feature double wishbones with an anti-roll bar, two Sachs Big Bore shocks up front and Sachs shocks in the rear (the XT has self-leveling preload), the Redrock, which is the range-topping model, features a pair of KYB Piggyback Smart Shox up front and one in the rear, as well as semi-active suspension. Additionally, the XT and Redrock offer increased storage capacity with aluminum top and side cases.
Regardless of trim, the Canyon offers four riding modes: Normal, Sport, Rally, and All-Road. All models come with two 16-inch wheels up front and a single 15-inch wheel in the rear, wrapped in XPS Adventure tires. Other standard features on all three versions of the adventure three-wheeler include LED headlights, hand guards, an adjustable windshield, an adaptive foam seat with lumbar support and a removable driver’s backrest, a drive belt guard, and a metal radiator grille. They also come with power steering, stability control, and traction control.
This adventure-ready vehicle’s electronic systems are managed through a 10.25-inch Apple CarPlay-compatible touchscreen that doubles as an instrument cluster and infotainment system display.

Of particular interest to those who dream of exploring the world and living out their wanderlust on three wheels, the Canyon features unprecedented cargo capacity. With the ability to carry up to 656 pounds on its own and 400 pounds of towing capacity, riders will be able to bring along plenty of gear for any adventure they can imagine. The easy-to-install, tool-free LinQ system makes it easy to add accessories to your ride.
Ready to give you the wind-in-your-hair feel of a motorcycle and the stability of a three-wheeler, the 2025 Can-Am Canyon is available to order now, with pricing for the Standard model starting at $25,299. However, this version of the off-road three-wheeler is a blank canvas, allowing potential customers to customize their adventure machine with any of the 25 available accessories. For the XT and Redrock models, Can-Am is asking $29,799 and $32,299, respectively.
