Apple Sports just announced major updates for NFL and college football fans. Starting today, NFL and college football games will feature play-by-play improvements so fans can access scoring drives much more quickly, which will appear alongside the view of each play. Additionally, Apple announced that a new dynamic drive tracker has been added to the app, allowing users to visualize where the player is on the field at any time.
When it comes to college football, fans on Apple Sports can now follow the weekly updated Top 25 in addition to their favorite teams and conferences. Additionally, real-time scores, stats, and live betting odds are displayed for each game, just like the other leagues available in the app.
But wait, there's more! Apple has confirmed that with iOS 18 and watchOS 11, the app will offer live action for the first time for all teams and leagues available in Apple Sports. This means fans will be able to see live scores and match reports at a glance on the lock screens of their iPhone and Apple Watch.
Additionally, Apple has promised to add new dropdown navigation for the main scorecard views in an app update later this year. The new feature will allow fans to switch between My Leagues, My Teams and the user feeds for their favorite leagues more quickly than before.

In addition to the drop-down navigation, Apple Sports is also getting a new advanced search that should make it easier to view games from leagues you don't follow.
Finally, Apple announces that more leagues will become available on Apple Sports over time, including the Champions League and Europa League, starting with the league phase in September.
Apple Sports is available for download from the App Store in the US, UK and Canada.
