This feature on iOS gives Google users a pop-up shortcut that lets them quickly search for a term they recently searched on Google. | Image credit: PhoneArena
You have about five seconds to tap the pop-up and go back to the search result for PhoneArena before it disappears. Or you can just tap the “X” to remove the shortcut from the screen and search with a new term. Currently, Android users running the beta version of the Google app version 15.34.32.29.arm64 can find this feature, although it's still hidden behind some flags. But it's now available in the iOS variant of the Google app, which is what we used to take the screenshots we've embedded in this article.
You may use the pop-up more often than you think, but keep in mind that the feature doesn't remember your last search in Chrome. You'll need to search using the Google app or a widget for this feature to work on iOS.
For Android users, there is a good chance that this shortcut will be available for Android users soon. If you are an iOS user, have you used this feature a lot? Let us know by leaving your thoughts in the comments section below.
