It’s been about two weeks since Android Auto 12.5 was released and is now considered a stable release. During this time, Google has been working on Android Auto 12.6 and the development time for this beta was a bit longer than usual. The Android Auto 12.6 beta is now available for download. However, it is only available to those who are registered with the test group on Google Play. Unfortunately, the group is not accepting new members at the moment. However, there is a workaround for those who want to try the beta. You can download and install the Android Auto 12.6 beta on devices running Android 8 or later by visiting APK Mirror. The APK is safe, signed by Google, and can be installed as an update to your existing app.

As is typical with Google’s beta releases, there is no official changelog detailing new features or changes. The update focuses mainly on bug fixes and stability improvements. From our testing, we didn’t see any noticeable changes to the interface. However, a few major issues remain unresolved, including issues with message notifications, audio in WhatsApp voice notes, and connectivity issues with Samsung Galaxy devices.

If you decide to install Android Auto 12.6 beta, be aware that it may not work perfectly as it is still in development. From our tests, we observed that the interface has not changed noticeably. Be careful if you choose to install it.
