Amazon reduces the price of Apple's 9th generation iPad with 256 GB storage by an unprecedented $150

With an admittedly dated design and decidedly unimpressive specs (by 2024 standards), Apple's 2021 iPad 10.2 no longer seems like a very smart purchase for many people… unless you can get it for Right Price. $329 for an entry-level 64GB configuration and $479 with 256GB storage certainly doesn't seem right to us, but if you hurry, you can spend a whopping $150 less than usual on the latter variant.

Technically, this phenomenal new Amazon deal isn't tied to an expiration date, but the e-commerce giant only has the Space Grey colorway in stock at the time of writing, which strongly suggests you have a very narrow window of opportunity to act here.
To our knowledge, this is the largest discount a major US retailer like Amazon has ever offered on an iPad (2021) variant without any special requirements or conditions. It improves on a recent $130 nationwide discount, as shoppers can apply an additional $20 coupon to their order for a total of $150 savings at checkout.
In case you're wondering, Apple's ninth-generation “regular” iPad still sells for $130 less than the $329 list price mentioned above, in a 64GB Wi-Fi-only model that comes in both silver and space gray. Of course, digital collectors are encouraged to go for the more expensive configuration… while they can… as long as you don't mind settling for chunky screen bezels, an Apple A13 Bionic processor, and a not-very-versatile Lightning port.
Of course, there are a number of respectable Android tablets available at reasonable prices this back-to-school season, but none of them offer the productivity, reliability, and excellent long-term software support that has made Apple so popular over the past decade.
