Remember when Ferrari used Maserati Levante body panels for the Purosangue chassis mules? The Italian automaker has done it again with the chassis mule for the F244, which is the internal designation for the automaker’s first production electric vehicle.
Recently spied by carparazzi while testing just outside the Maranello factory, the camouflaged car appears to be similar to the Purosangue in terms of length and wheelbase. However, at the moment we are not sure if this is correct or if the F244 is closer in size to the 2025 Porsche Macan Electric.
Covered in a mix of black and white camo film and blue duct tape, the aforementioned frame mule also features Levante side mirrors and A-pillar trim pieces. Equipped with chrome faux exhaust pipes and black-painted wheels that look a little awkward for a Fezza, the F244 mule also boasts high-tension stickers.
The front seats with integrated headrests also deserve a mention, along with the steering column-mounted paddle shifters that look eerily similar to those of the Purosangue. By the way, the dashboard area just above the digital instrument cluster looks a bit similar to that of the V12-powered Off-road.
Production will be handled by Ferrari's e-building, which is also responsible for the production of internal combustion engines, hybrids, combustion engines, electric motors, electric axles and high-voltage batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. The F244 is expected to enter series production in the second half of 2025 for MY26.

Just months before Sergio Marchionne passed away in July 2018, the big kahuna made it clear that an electric vehicle from Maranello’s Prancing Horse must sound and handle like a true Ferrari. Originally scheduled for 2024, the F244 has been confirmed for 2025 by Ferrari and Stellantis chairman John Elkann.
To be joined by a second electric vehicle rumored to be dubbed the F245, the first production-bound battery-electric Fezza is a bit of a mystery under the skin. Some say its platform is derived from the Purosangue’s mid-front architecture. Others believe Ferrari has developed an entirely new architecture for this guy.
Speaking of hearsay, the alleged starting price is 500,000 euros or about $555,000 at current exchange rates. Quite a bit more than a Macan Electric or Taycan, but looking at the bigger picture, the F244 is the Ferrari of electric vehicles.
We must also remember that Volkswagen Group brands Lamborghini and Bentley are working on their own electric sports utility vehicles, while Rolls-Royce has already entered the market Electric vehicle area with the Spectre two-door coupé. Given the above information and Ferrari's position in the automotive industry, half a million euros for the F244 doesn't seem all that ridiculous.
