The redesigned F-150 pickup truck has entered the 2025 model year with quite a few changes, starting with the introduction of new standard equipment groups for three trim levels. Before we get into the details, let’s talk about the deletions, starting with the exterior colors.
For 2025, both Avalanche and Darkened Bronze Metallic have been removed from the color palette in favor of Marsh Gray and Space White Metallic. Per the accompanying order guide, Ford has also discontinued the retro-tastic Heritage Edition. Introduced for 2023, that edition celebrated the automaker's 120th anniversary and 75 years of the F-Series.
The higher-equipped STX, XLT and Lariat now come with standard Equipment Groups 200B, 300A and 500A. BlueCruise is optional on XLT with Equipment Groups 302A and 303A, along with the off-road Lariat and Tremor, but standard on the pricier King Ranch and top-of-the-line Platinum.
Potential customers interested in the work-oriented XL model will be happy to know that the Tow Haul Package can now be offered with the Coyote 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. The XL model can also be purchased with the Tailgate Step with Work Surface.
Four bed tie-down plates replace BoxLink, and navigation has been removed from the XL, STX, and XLT 300A and 301A. Ford has also eliminated the three-year BlueCruise subscription in favor of an annual subscription. BlueCruise is Ford’s take on semi-autonomous driving technology, billed as hands-free driving technology despite requiring the driver to keep their eyes on the road at all times for manual override.

Starting the configurator, the starting price is $38,610 before shipping. In September 2023, the 2024 model went on sale with an MSRP of $36,570 for the unoptioned XL with Regular Cab, rear-wheel drive, and Coyote engine. Even more ridiculous, upgrading to all-wheel drive adds $5,015 to the final price of the pickup.
XL is the only F-150 trim available with Regular Cab, while Super Cab is the default choice on the STX and XLT. Meanwhile, SuperCrew trims range from XL all the way up to Platinum, King Ranch, and Raptor. By the way, the Platinum with SuperCrew bodystyle starts at $74,705, with that price also applied to the King Ranch. The Raptor? Let's say $78,805 for the V6 engine and 35-inch wheels.
For one reason or another, the configurator shows two extras that are essentially the same thing. The options in question are listed as the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine and the Raptor R equipment group. Selecting the Predator group gets you a “changes requested” message prompting you to select the Raptor R equipment group, which costs $31,925.
Slotted between the 801A Raptor trim group and the 803A Raptor R trim group, the 802A Raptor 37 trim group sits at the standard 35 with 37-inch tires. It adds $11,470 to the final price, because it also includes different wheels, dual-valve shock absorbers, a modular front bumper, carbon-fiber interior applications, and Recaro seats with black Alcantara and leather.
