BMW has released photos and information on the German automaker’s first M Performance Parts for the 2025 X3 model year. Internally called the G45, the fourth-generation sport-utility vehicle is available with CFRP, aramid or polyurethane retrofits, starting with a roof edge spoiler.
Made of polyurethane, the roof edge spoiler is available in high-gloss black or the vehicle’s paint color. As for wheels, the 2025 BMW X3 is available with M Performance Parts light-alloy wheels up to 22 inches. Further down the spectrum, 20 inches will have to do.
Both feature Y-spoke designs, with the 22s available in Bicolor Jet Black and the 20s in Matte Jet Black. In addition, the 20s can be fitted with either summer or winter tyres, rather than summer tyres exclusively for the 22-inch wheels. The M Performance Parts developed for the G45 also include a rear diffuser in two distinct flavours and carbon tailpipes unique to the M50.
The aerodynamic properties of the rear sports utility vehicle can also be improved with a three-piece front splitter that emphasizes the front apron. Customers who plan to purchase the high-gloss black front splitter can add visual drama with the M Performance ornamental grille (also painted in high-gloss black).
Also worthy of mention are the mirror covers made of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer, an antenna cover made of aramid-reinforced plastic for electromagnetic permeability and the door sill trims in carbon. The carbon door sill trims feature M Performance lettering. An aluminium trim for the door sill trims is also available.

Owners may also be interested in stainless steel pedal covers, along with a set of four M Performance floor mats with leatherette edging, contrasting stitching and the M division's colours for the stitched tape. But that's not all, because BMW has also come up with an M Performance locking button with a coloured M logo. Black anodised aluminium is the only finish/material offered.
The list continues with a sporty key fob with a mix of carbon-look leather and Alcantara. Of course, it has all the necessary cutouts for the buttons. Last but not least, there are also M Performance bodyside stickers in Frozen Black and a carbon fuel filler flap with M Performance lettering on brushed aluminum.
So far, the most performance-oriented G45 is the six-cylinder M50. It features a single-turbo I6 with mild-hybrid assistance, resulting in peak output figures of 393 horsepower and 428 pound-feet (580 Nm) of torque. While there are rumors that Munich’s favorite son will not develop an X3 M for this generation, there are also rumors that the opposite is true. The alleged codename is G97.
Those who believe the combustion-engined X3 M won’t be returning to the lineup argue that BMW AG has reserved the high-performance treatment for a different model, namely the Neue Klasse-based iX3 M. Whatever the future holds, there’s no denying that M Performance Parts will be available for both the X3 M and iX3 M.
